Symbiosis ~ Oil paintings with photographs by Tom Bell

The following images are from a series of work that was done in collaboration with my father.  I painted imagery from his photographs, and then he and I mounted the actual prints on museum quality mat board on top of the canvas.
The first group of photos were taken in 1967 at an orphanage in Vietnam.  The second group were taken at a nursing home in Iowa in the early 2000s.  The final group were taken in Nogales, AZ and feature WWII veterans reminiscing with war memorabilia.
